I believe that this is an almost accurate reflection on how i like to learn. It is very true that I like to work with people and believe I will learn more. This is mainly because I like to have discussions. I also think it is an accurate representation of me because I believe that I’m good with people yet don’t really understand pictures/images which is why i suck at art. I think that the school mainstream way of teaching isn’t really the type of teaching for me, I find it very difficult to sit still for 45mins and do nothing but write notes and listen. The Galileo way of teaching is much better for me because i can interact with people while getting the work done. The lessons in Galileo are defiantly being taught in a diverse and engaging manner because the theme changes each week which means you are never doing the same things twice, whereas in mainstream it is the exact opposite excluding sport of course. I think that the traditional way of learning get the most support out of all the ways of learning and you can see this because you use this way of teaching for nearly all of your schooling life from prep-VCE. If i could change one thing in the current schooling system i think it would be that the teacher must at least have 1 session a week where they go outside to teach or they teach in a different manner than the traditional way. I would change this because by doing this the students will still learn what they are supposed to but for 1 lesson in the week they will be able to do it in a different way, plus the students that like to interact with others and learn things in a group will be much happier in school.
