I believe that this is an almost accurate reflection on how i like to learn. It is very true that I like to work with people and believe I will learn more. This is mainly because I like to have discussions. I also think it is an accurate representation of me because I believe that I’m good with people yet don’t really understand pictures/images which is why i suck at art. I think that the school mainstream way of teaching isn’t really the type of teaching for me, I find it very difficult to sit still for 45mins and do nothing but write notes and listen. The Galileo way of teaching is much better for me because i can interact with people while getting the work done. The lessons in Galileo are defiantly being taught in a diverse and engaging manner because the theme changes each week which means you are never doing the same things twice, whereas in mainstream it is the exact opposite excluding sport of course. I think that the traditional way of learning get the most support out of all the ways of learning and you can see this because you use this way of teaching for nearly all of your schooling life from prep-VCE. If i could change one thing in the current schooling system i think it would be that the teacher must at least have 1 session a week where they go outside to teach or they teach in a different manner than the traditional way. I would change this because by doing this the students will still learn what they are supposed to but for 1 lesson in the week they will be able to do it in a different way, plus the students that like to interact with others and learn things in a group will be much happier in school.

Week 2 Reflection

This Photo was taken at Montague

I believe that my perspective on livability has defiantly changed this week mainly because i didn’t know anything about livability at the start of the week but now I know a lot about it. I think the standout moment of this week was when we went to MPA and they asked us what we wanted in the “new” Montague, this was a standout moment because no one has ever asked for my opinion on such a big matter. I think my team project’s progress in good we have had some disagreements but we came back together and solved them so everyone was happy. I think i do have a clear sense in my role for the group but i think everyone else also know what they need to do. Yes, i think i have made progress on one of my learning goals which is How to Teach and Work with Children. I have made progress in this goal by going to community services and working with the preps.

About Me

About me

  • I learn best when/by…I am alone but I never study alone because it’s boring, i would rather study with people. I might not get as much done but its more entertaining and sometimes you can learn new things.
  • My earliest memory of school is… My earliest memory of is when I was the new person in the class and I had no friends so I sat by myself at the corner.

  • I often wonder…What Dark Matter is. I often wonder what dark matter is because no one really knows what it is. All we know about it is that it’s in the universe and takes up most of it. Mr. Lloyd my science teacher told me about dark matter and this is why I often wonder what dark matter is.
