Ethics Week Reflection

A plus for the week was that we got to find our more about the ethics, not only in the context of our lives but in the context of the whole world around us. Another plus of the week is that we were able to find out more of our own ethics and what we actually believe in. A minus of the week was the trail, the trail it self was not bad it was just that on that day the trams were down and it was raining. So we had to walk a long distance in the rain and it wasn’t very pleasant. Another minus of the week at the time was that not only did I have present in front of my home group but half of Tamara’s group was also there so it made it a little more nerve wracking. But now i see that it gave me a realer experience of public speaking because usually you won’t be presenting in front of a small group but large. I can’t think of the last time i bought something that did not live up for my expectations but i do believe that advertisers have an ethical responsibility to tell the truth about the product. Mainly because from a young age everyone is told that the truth is the best answer so if kids find out that adults are lying more and more than they will start lying and the world will just turn into a place of lies. I also think that advertisers have an ethical responsibility to tell the truth about the product because we (the consumers) are the reason to why they are doing what they are doing so if we find out that they are lying than no one would buy from them and they will go bankrupt.

    Hey Zhan,

You raise an interesting question about who advertising companies are allied too- and therefore is it ethical for them to sell products and be honest ti the people who hire them- or the general public.

How are your learning goals going?
