My hopes and goals of this term are not very interesting I hope to make the most out of the camp experience and maybe learn some new things. My goals of this term is just to complete the goals that i set on my learning goals page .I am very happy with the group that i got and the topic that i am doing, I know everyone in my group well and i think we will all get along just fine. I chose the topic of psychology mainly because i plan on doing psychology in year 10 and i’m thinking of doing it for a VCE subject. So to be able to get a feel of what the subject is now i think will help me better understand it in the years to come.
Teacher lead trail
Pluses:
- The pluses of the teacher lead trail was that they could explain things to you where when you were on the independent one you had no one to explain anything to you other than the peers you were with.
- Another plus to the teacher lead trail was that you couldn’t get lost because the teachers have been on that trail many times and know what they are doing.
Minuses:
- The minuses of the teacher lead trail was that you couldn’t really do anything that was out of the normal because when your with a teacher you have to act a certain way and it may limit some people from being who they are.
- Another minus of the trail was that you could’t really explore the things you wanted to explore. Mainly because the teachers had a set agenda that they wanted to complete so those who wanted to stay at a certain spot and look at it deeper could not do that.
Interesting:
- I think that the trail choices we had were very interesting and on the docklands it was interesting how in the library you could do so much more than read or borrow a book.
- What i also found interesting on the teacher lead trail was that we all managed to arrive at a certain destination on time.
INDEPENDENT TRAIL:
Pluses:
- The pluses of the independent trail is that we were able to get to know our topic group members much better and we found out what characteristics some of us have.
- Another plus for the trial was that we were free to chose when and how we wanted to do the task if it meant we finished it in the end.
Minuses:
- A minus of the independent trail is that there was a lot of walking involve and my group had to take regular breaks and some of us walked too fast and it frustrated some one us.
- Another minus to the independent trail is that it can be very easy to get lost if no one knows where to go.
Interesting
- I found it interesting that the teachers let us go out alone so early into the term.
